24 - A Birthday Resolution
isn't it funny?
when you were younger
you so wish that you were older
and once you get to the age that you want
you suddenly want to turn back the time
and go back to where u were
this year's birthday
where i turned 24
was definitely different from the other birthdays
from the others i've had
weird in a way, if you'd like
but i wouldn't say i didn't learn anything from it
i did learn a little bit more of myself
and my true feelings
and i did notice the difference
from now and then
up to last year
i still get trashed like crazy on my birthday
it was more like as if i was trying to make my life shorter
on the day i was born
by getting dead-bummed
in other words:
party 'till i drop, literally
and this year
not only i stayed sober
but i didnt have the slightest intention to go out and party
instead i stayed at home
all alone
not that i didnt want to be with my friends
but i only wanted to have a peace on my own
and to think
and like i said, or rather wrote
i did learn somethings
pretty "productive" birthday this year
