Sleeping Prince
When people are asleep, they tend to look so innocent and carefree and it's such a joyful and pleasurable thing to watch someone sleep.
I was watching someone sleep recently, and lots of things came to my mind. I thought about what he might be dreaming of, it must have been a nice dream for he looked so peaceful. The soft glow of the early morning sun that fell on his face made him look so beautiful, I wanted to reach out to him and hug him, but I didn't want to wake him up and I wanted to go on watching him sleep.
When I did finally wake him up softly, it was so soothing to see his sleepy eyes flutter slowly open and look into mine. But what made me smile and really feel wonderful inside was when he recognized me and flashed me a sleepy, but sweet good morning smile. That smile must be the most heart-felt smile I ever got from him, for it was his first smile of the day.
How I wish I could spend every morning watching him sleep and how I wish I would always be the one who can wake him up every morning, and be the one that he would be smiling sleepily to every morning.
