THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW - Where Will You Be?

Es ist so weit!!! I used my second ticket from my 25 euros ticket I bought a few weeks ago to watch The Day After Tomorrow. And I must say, it's a helluva film as well. Gak rugi gue beli tiket ini!!!! :) Although I had to wait for 4 solid days until I finally saw this movie - I wanted to catch it on its premiere (on the 27th May) so I can boast around about having watching it sooner than any other people in Vienna... hehe. But now that I've watched it, I'm a calmer gurl right now :P

I don't understand why my friends refuse watching this awesome movie. They say it's "too Hollywood" without even seeing it first. How can they judge a movie when they haven't even seen it yet? The say it's just another Independence Day. What BULLSH*T!!! This is definitely not another Independence Day. This is an action-packed movie with a noble message in it. I mean, come on... if this whole global warming thing keeps going on and no one's gonna do anything about it, we might actually find ourselves in the same natural disasters shown in the movie and probably a second ice age our dear earth will face.

The movie also shows a parent's dedication for their children. If you don't call this sacrifice Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid) shows for his son, Sam Hall (Jake Gyllenhaal), I don't know what is; going against a deadly storm probably our age has ever seen just to make sure his son is alive is one hell of dedication, I tell ya! And this is the only part that touched me the most...

Jack Hall in search of his son in the Metro Library of the New York City

Now, look at that. Watching this movie has made me think about judgement day, made me think about all the sins I've committed and how not ready I am to die and made me realize that death itself may come smiling toward me at any time and I will never know until it engulfs me. A scary thought, indeed... But I guess that's just how it is.

Konser Gratis Wiener Philharmoniker - Bahasa Endonesa neeeh... :)

25th May 2004

Viel los in Schönbrunn!!!! Hari Selasa kemaren (barengan sama releasenya Lord of The Rings, The Return of The King DVD) Schönbrunn - istana Kaisar Austria - penuuuuuuuh banget. Ya iya, lah... orang ada konser Wiener Philharmoniker - orchestra paling terkenal di seluruh Austria, possibly Europe - dalam rangka menyambut 10 negara yg baru masuk EU tanggal 1 Mei kemaren. Kenapa penuh banget? G R A T I S seeeh!!!!

Jadi, berangkatlah gue, si mungil ini (jiahahahaha) ke Schönbrunn sama Gonti a.k.a Growie, Oom Damos - a.k.a. Oom Damskie, Tante Butet (istrinya Oom Damskie) a.k.a. Tantot Butskie dan Mima (anaknya Oomskie dan Tantot) a.k.a. Mimskie.

Tapi, ternyata memang penuh banget... padahal udah di back yardnya... Pas kita masuk: Astagaaaa.... lautan manusia!! Udah gitu bule lagi manusianya, jadinya lautan manusia-manusia bau. Dan niat gue untuk foto W.P. in action jadi batal. Gimana nggak mau batal? Bayangin gue (mungil) di tengah-tengah manusia (bule = tinggi = bau)... Get the picture?

Saking keselnya gue nggak bisa ngambil foto W.P. gue foto aja patung-patung yang menghias sekitar back yardnya Schönbrunn

Akhirnya setelah sekitar satu jam, kayanya si Oomskie nggak tahan lagi.

Salzburg

Hwadoooooohhhh.... at last I get to go to Salzburg again after soooo many years... The rain that was pouring down the whole day didnt stop us (Gonti, Ibun, Rama, Rama's mom, Rama's mom's sister and me)

We lunched in Gmunden (tapi nggak jauh2, di restoran chinese juga... hayah) and took pictures by the lake (and in the rain) i got to feed the birds - somehow the birds didn't trust me... damn birds!!! - and then we went to Salzburg... where we saw:

the smallest house in Salzburg (and probably in Austria)

called

which means: The Salzburgean Angel

and

the house where Mozart himself was born

Well, yea... Basically we didn't get to see much cuz of the rain... so poor Rama's mom and Rama's mom's sister... they didn't see all of Salzburg. Maybe next time...

I just LUUURRRRRVEEEE Salzburg!!!!!

Look Behind You

Nyah... yesterday I called someone from my past in Indonesia. His name is Danniel. He is one of DNA's (my band when I was still in Indo) vocalists and also a past love (oooh, this is gonna be interesting!! Revie never talks about her love life! tee hee). We talked and talked and talked, we talked for almost one and a half hours! - i love my chit chat calling card... hehe

Talking to him has brought so many memories back, the good ones and unfortunately also the bad ones. But the good thing about it, we can laugh about them now. We had a good laugh yesterday talking about all the stupid things we've done together, about the stupid reasons for our stupid arguments. And even though now we've gone our different ways, there's still a part of me that stays with him. And he'll always be a friend whom I can rely on, though I know things will never be the same again with him.

Isn't good to know, especially at times like this, that u can simply pick up the phone and u'll hear a nice and welcoming voice? doesnt that warm u up?

YOU SH*THEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is DF's Friendster page ....

And here's a testimonial I wrote about him on the 20th April 2004:

my 1st conversation wit de2, de2:eh, blh nanya ga? me:gak. dat was it. i mustve made a terrible impression judging frm his half offended, half skeptical look on his face. de2 is too quiet 2 b true, but every1's special in their own ways, so i guess this applies 2 de2 as well. he's charming and dun 4get the good looks, tp kdg2 suka sok cakep loe,de =) he has this mysterious aura abt him, u never noe wats goin on in his mind. this is a wild guess, de: lesbians! LoL. de2 picks up foreign languages fast, well more the accent actually =) during his (too) brief visit in vienna he has managed 2 pronounce german words like: ja wohl, zahlen and bitte nicht perfectly (gak kaya ardi: brot. hehe) alas, i dunno this guy long enuff 2 say more nice (or bad) things abt him, but one thing 4 sure: im really glad i met u, de! =) XOX

And here's what I say about him NOW:

Now I know him good enough to say all the bad things about him. He's the biggest arse I've ever known! Too coward to be true... Not man enough to tell me to my face... I take back all the crap I've said about him, and I mean everything!! Well, what are u gonna do now, brother? Now that I've publicized my hatred towards u... This is to show u not to mess with me!

i've said enough! -rv-

Thank You Cineplexxx

Wow!!! This is really cool...

I bought a ticket for 25 euros, for the movies. You think it's expensive right??? W R O N G !!!

For 25 euros, I get to watch 10 different films for FREE this summer. Well, not exactly for free, but if u're good at maths, u'll know that I only pay half (not even half!!!) of the normal price for each movie. Here in Austria the price of the movie tickets varies depending on what day u go to the cinema, like for example Mondays to Wednesdays u pay around 5 - 6 euros, I'm not sure about Thursdays; never been to the cinema on Thursday. During the weekends u pay around 8 euros. So, like I said... if u're good at maths, this 25 euro ticket is worth it!!!!

I get to watch: Troy (which I have already done twice!!!); The Day After Tomorrow; Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban; Shrek 2; Spider-Man 2; I, Robot; Catwoman; Around The World In 80 days; Periode 1 (is it?? I'm not sure) and a movie of my choice...

Hehe... I think u guys should come to Vienna this summer :)

T R O Y

Believe it or not I've seen this movie 2 times!!! And it has only been released last Friday. Well, this fact should be proof enough that this movie is one helluva movie! (or maybe just because I couldn't get enough of Brad and Orlando?? LoL)

I really seriously think there is no one on this goddamn earth who suits Achilles' role like Brad does. Achilles is supposed to be a half-god and Brad, being as beautiful as he is (hehehe), is just the man for the role. His acting in the film, his movements, his fighting techniques... he somehow brought all these together and really became the greatest warrior of all time. Check out the last scene... that really touched me... how he smelt Briseis' (Rose Bryne) hair and had the decency to actually cry!!!! *sob sob*

Let's face it, after The Lord of The Rings and Pirates of The Carribean, his role in Troy as Paris comes in quite as a shock. I mean, we all know that he can easily fit into a womanizer role... but as a coward and traitor????? puh-leeeze. However, Orlando deserves two thumbs-up since I really felt Orlando is as stupid as Paris is (hehe). Bravo, Orlando!

There's A Saying That Goes....

they say: when u love someone, u gotta learn to let them go
if it is so, i dun ever wanna love again
to lose someone u love is unbearable
sure, u can carry on and walk on like nothing ever happened
and u will...
but u will never be the same again
when u love someone, u change
intentionally or unintentionally
like it or not, u do change
and when u lose ur love
u cannot go back to ur old self
because u are used to ur new changed self
but u hate every single fibre in ur new self
because it reminds u of ur broken love
and now u will never be the same again

if u gotta learn to let go the ones u love
why do u love them at the first place?
why do u waste ur energy loving someone
but at the same time learning how to let them go?
isnt it much better to spare ourselves the trouble
and not fall in love at all?

no, i will not let go the one i love
nor will i learn how to
i will cling on to the things that are dear to me
because my love isnt something to be let go so easily
my love is something sacred

cukup... -rv-

Jude

hmmm... enjoyed the day today
quiet and lazy, nice... for a change
looked at friendster for hours and hours
something i dont usually do
found old friends... saw old friends on my friendster list
and im missing one particular friend
wonder how he is right now?
last time i saw him was 4 years ago
and he wrote me a letter to tell me how jealous he was
inside the green envelope he enclosed
a little green doll to show how jealous he was
to this day, i still smile when i think about it
just for the record dear friend
if u ever read this (Lord knows when)
i would like to publicize that
u are one of the most important people in my life
and u will remain so, though u dun know it
i hope chance will allow us a little time to see each other again
even if it's only a glimpse...

A Late Article in Sinar Harapan, March 2003 - gak papa deeeh... hehe

”The Dream of Indonesia” Pukau Masyarakat Wina

Walau kelompok ini kecil, mereka berhasil merealisasikan ”The Dream of Indonesia”. (pr/xha)

Kua Etnika Tampilkan Bali Harmonis di Eropa

Jakarta, Sinar Harapan

(pr)
