France Vs. England ( 2 : 1 )

Aaaaargh!!! I hate the French... more because they have such an unbelievable luck than anything else! Why can't I have such a luck?? They always manage to scrape a last-minute win. Like they did in the Euro Cup 2000 Final against Italy (was it 2000? :P) They are never satisfied with a mere tie...
This luck they have can give the spectators two extreme emotions: Ecstatic for the French supporters and suicidal for the English supporters. I sure did feel like smashing the TV screen to bits when Zidane scored that goal in the 91st minute, and felt like burning the whole house down when he scored again in the 92nd minute with that penalty kick. Two goals in the 3 minute extra time!!!!
But then that's exactly what made the match so exciting, and probably the best match I've ever seen so far. Both teams played incredibly good. Although I felt that England should've tried to score another goal instead of simpy defending hard and buying time, but in the one or two chances they did attack, it was tense - good nevertheless. The French played superbly in the second half, a bit more pushy and desperate I'd say, but I can understand. I mean, if they'd lost this match against England, it'd be the very first lost match in the first round in their soccer history, wouldn't it? And I don't think the French could stand the shame... :)
Although the French put more pressure into the play in second half, they couldn't break through the English defence, so Bravo England!!!! I'm sure the French would have lost if it weren't for the 2 fouls committed by the English team (can't remember by who, but I know the 2nd foul was from English goalkeeper, David James) And if only Beckham scored that penalty kick, I think a tie would've been more bearable - than this last-minute win (or lose) of course. NYESEKIN AJAH!!! But I guess Barthez already knows Beckham's moves, having played in the same team for a several years, Manchester United. So I guess he could read Beckham's tactics. And oh, of course bravo Lampard for that brilliant goal in the 38th minute!

Good game anyway. I lost a bet... but I won't despair LoL... it was only the first round. I can't wait to see the Italians play... oh, and the Dutch as well... (yay, Oranjes!!! :P)
