The Devil Wears Prada

I'm currently reading a book called "The Devil Wears Prada". It's about a young woman named Andrea who everyone thinks she has a job that a million girls would die for. She herself thinks the same at first, but after getting to know her boss a little better, she starts thinking the opposite.

Miranda Priestly is a powerful woman, the most successful editor for the most successful magazine in New York City - and possibly the whole world, stinking rich, beautiful beyond imagination, difficult, has impossible wishes and Andrea's boss. She has Andrea running - literally - around the NYC to fulfill Miranda's demands. Not only that, Miranda rarely gives any specific details to her wishes, this leaves Andrea wondering and not able to do her job properly which then leads to Miranda yelling her head off at poor Andrea.

Andrea would just love to quit her job, but one life-time goal keeps her from ditching the magazine. After a year or so working as Miranda's personal assistant means Andrea can have her ultimate job as a writer in The New Yorker magazine. So, Andrea has no other choice but to try to fulfill Miranda's outrageous demands as fast as her stilletos can carry her.

I haven't really finished reading the book but I definitely find this book interesting and it has a point in a way. I mean, look at those beautiful ladies wrapped in the latest model of Gucci, Versace or whatever... most of these women are oh-so-beautiful outside but goodamn rotten inside. Nowadays, we are so blinded by all the beauty and luxury that we fail to see the true heart of a person. What happened to the saying "Never judge a book by its cover?" Do cheap clothes mean u're a bitch and u're nothing worth to be even looked at? And do these stylish designer accesories, jewels, clothes mean u're the ultimate angel on this entire earth? Well, I think we should open our eyes a little wider. Most of the time, that is not the case. Most of the time these rich people wrapped with designer's products from head to toe are the biggest, saddest bitch u will ever possibly meet. They rarely see the people "lower" than them as "real" people with feelings.

Now, come on... let's all make a change to that huh? Let's just make this world a better place to live... *lho?* :D
