THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW - Where Will You Be?

Es ist so weit!!! I used my second ticket from my 25 euros ticket I bought a few weeks ago to watch The Day After Tomorrow. And I must say, it's a helluva film as well. Gak rugi gue beli tiket ini!!!! :) Although I had to wait for 4 solid days until I finally saw this movie - I wanted to catch it on its premiere (on the 27th May) so I can boast around about having watching it sooner than any other people in Vienna... hehe. But now that I've watched it, I'm a calmer gurl right now :P
I don't understand why my friends refuse watching this awesome movie. They say it's "too Hollywood" without even seeing it first. How can they judge a movie when they haven't even seen it yet? The say it's just another Independence Day. What BULLSH*T!!! This is definitely not another Independence Day. This is an action-packed movie with a noble message in it. I mean, come on... if this whole global warming thing keeps going on and no one's gonna do anything about it, we might actually find ourselves in the same natural disasters shown in the movie and probably a second ice age our dear earth will face.
The movie also shows a parent's dedication for their children. If you don't call this sacrifice Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid) shows for his son, Sam Hall (Jake Gyllenhaal), I don't know what is; going against a deadly storm probably our age has ever seen just to make sure his son is alive is one hell of dedication, I tell ya! And this is the only part that touched me the most...

Now, look at that. Watching this movie has made me think about judgement day, made me think about all the sins I've committed and how not ready I am to die and made me realize that death itself may come smiling toward me at any time and I will never know until it engulfs me. A scary thought, indeed... But I guess that's just how it is.
